Maybe Scene Magazine had precisely the same interest in Jennifer Garrison as I did, at precisely the same time, before James Renner’s new project published my front page story on Garrison last week. Maybe. Maybe they even decided to interview the same gay guy to get the same exact gay reaction, which Scene doesn’t attribute. [...]
I wasn’t always a blogger – didn’t start blogging until 2004, when it appeared my future ability to engage in my community was totally gone. Before becoming a blogger, I was in all the circles anyone would ever want to be in. I hob nobbed with big media, big politicians, big money, had gone through [...]
Coughlin trolling has accelerated since I posted his lawyer’s motion to dismiss at BLACKHEARTCleveland, in which Coughlin admits he never was going to sue Scene Magazine, and never will. The traffic at Blogger Interrupted from an outfit called the Thomas F. Needles Association has been absurdly constant since the Renner story broke – almost every [...]
Kevin Coughlin is officially starting to freak the fuck out. Today we’ve had some fun Coughlin related visitor(s), including this dude, Kerry McCullough, who runs a wedding dj outfit (perfect timing on Mark Sanford day!) who takes a gratuitous shot at James Renner, out of the blue.
Wonder how that family VALUES wedding dj business will [...]
…they go after Russo’s criminal record from multiple screen names, like, oh, say, OHPublius and Mindy Blunkin, both of whom have been parked at my blog since the day the Renner-Coughlin story broke, both from the same IP address. Most egregious comment deleted, and the IP address is banned. Still have all the info, though!
Hi [...]
The reason – it’s a Cleveland story, about a Cleveland newspaper, and a Cleveland reporter. Today is the first post, which includes Coughlin’s recently filed and quite laughable motion to dismiss. Enjoy!
Grotesque irony.
The timing was uncanny. Before he left on vacation, my editor at the publication I work for wrote this week’s cover story which hit the streets this morning, imploring George Voinovich as a sane — if not exactly as-moderate-as-described — Republican who is retiring and whose office is therefore not vulnerable to attacks from [...]
I’ve been watching the blog traffic very carefully since the Renner v. Coughlin story broke, because when shit like this hits the fan, the comment spamming from interested parties kicks in like wildfire. In this case, the comments could form part of Renner’s litigation against Coughlin and his employers, so I pay even more attention, [...]
Again, won’t link to the story.
In addition to demanding reinstatement, Renner is asking the court to declare the unpublished story he submitted to Scene was not defamatory.
It’s not unpublished, it’s published at this blog. Not one single old media outlet that covered this lawsuit has linked to the story they are talking about. This now [...]
Hey Frank, Matt, sup dawgs!
Been lookin at your little wingding with Renner. I used to be a lawyer once – you too, Matty! Former attorneys unite! It’s fun playing lawyer again – I once thought I’d make a damn good one, but that whole “life as an attorney is torture” thingy kinda keeps me from [...]
