This fills me with glee. Another Republican quitter. I actually now want Hoffman to win – nothing will be more useful to Democrats than to have some teabagger dude in DC showing every day, with every word out of his mouth, what an empty airbag of birther paranoia lunacy the right wing of Republicanism has become.
Scozzafava dropping out, at the sharp end of teabagging’s repulsive bayonet, also gives the teabagger Palin crowd even more reason to continue their civil war on the GOP. All your base are belong to you!

nostalgia. i remember that jiffy pop commercial. i’m old. it also makes me think how the word “jiffy” has fallen out of use. never hear anyone say “in a jiffy” anymore. i’m guessing kids today would see this commercial and wonder what a jiffy is and what the hell it has to do with popcorn. then they would wonder why there was a time in america when such a commercial wouldn’t draw the ire of christian lunatics.
