Ask Marriott if Fox is a news organization
Mon, Oct 26, 2009
Having pulled myself a bit away from the daily blog grind, I’ve been very much enjoying the Fox News push back against being tagged by the White House as precisely what they are proud to be – a big fat blow hole of right wing Republican horseshit. And it really drives home what a bunch of fucking pussies conservatives are.
The plainly obvious fact – there was no media, TV or otherwise, that had its nose as far up George W. Bush’s sphincter as Fox News. None. In fact, they were proud of it. Their viewers were proud of it. Fox and their viewers literally worshipped the Bush administration as if they were saints. Today, not so much. However, I seem to recall this all time great video of three of Ohio’s most unhinged righty bloggers worshipping under a cardboard cutout of Bush, mourning the passing of Fox News mouthpiece turned White House shill Tony Snow.
These people live in an alternate universe of fiction. One of those fictions is that Fox is a news organization. Even your grandmother in the nursing home knows that’s bullshit. Which reminds me of an episode.
At a hotel where I stayed recently, a Courtyard by Marriott near Canton, I stumbled to the breakfast in the lobby, and on the TV in the middle of the lobby was Fox News. This is pretty standard stuff – businesses like bars, hotels, convenient stores, even golf courses run Fox News in their building all the time. Well, I’ve got a new policy – I don’t pay anyone to force me to watch Fox News in their establishment.
So I ate my breakfast, then went to the front desk, where the lobby manager was helping a guest. I interrupted, and asked, politely, “Why is Fox News on in your hotel?” Thus began the coward parade.
The guest must have been a Fox watcher, because the look on his face as I interrupted him was of horror. The manager backpedalled from the start, saying pathetically, “Someone must have turned it on,” which of course was baloney. The guest’s jaw dropped. So then I said, “Well, I want you to turn it off. I did not pay to stay in a hotel with the Republican Party’s internal closed circuit TV feed blaring into the lobby during my breakfast.” Then I walked away. When I came back to check out, ESPN was on the TV.
This push back works. Every human being with a brain knows that Fox News is a political arm of Republicanism, and big businesses know that being tagged with Republicanism is now very bad for business. And if Fox was a news organization, the cowardice on display right now, the whining, the victim complex, wouldn’t be so laughable.
Try it sometime. Just ask the manager at the next business where you see Fox News blaring at the customers to turn it off. The response is your answer to whether or not Fox is news.
Bunch of fucking pussies.

IF Fox News is a “political arm of Republicanism,” then please explain what CNN, MSNBC and the like are for the democratic party? IF you think Hanity, Beck etc are crazy right wingers that speak for the Republican Party–then what do you consider Rachel Maddow, Olberman, Mathews etc..? I may be a Republican but I understand what Fox News is–a news organization that leans heavily to the right. So,can you at least admit the CNN and MSNBC’s are for you what Fox is for me? Unlikely…

JRock.
Show me where CNN, MSNBC “and the like” cheer-lead Anti-Bush rallies! You can’t! This is why you’re a Republican. You’re an idiot. Fox news is and has been from its inception a fucking right-wing-nutball propaganda outlet. Where else would Dirty Dick run to grumble and hiss? FOX NEWS or better yet… Rush Limbaugh! LOL!
It claims to be FAIR & BALANCED! If you had any brains you would know that NO OTHER NETWORK with as much obvious bias as Fox makes such an insulting claim! Those ass-clowns load up their “fair and balanced” panels with three right wing nut-jobs and one liberal with a wandering eye and a speech impediment and call it “fair and balanced”.
Republicanism is right where you belong. Among your own kind. STUPID!

Hey FrankFactor. I don’t want to steal JRock’s glory because your challenge is easy to meet. However, here’s a video from 2005 that aired on NBC News:

In it, the correspondent compares Cindy Sheehan’s anti-war/anti-Bush protests to Walter Cronkite’s depiction of Vietnam. That’s cheerleading.
