Time has come to cut Republicans out of health care reform
Arianna makes the case very clearly - Republicans keep pulling the football away as Charlie Brown approaches to kick it. Even as the president himself compliments their efforts, live, on national TV. It’s as if every time Barack says something nice about a Republican, said Republican sprints to a camera to throw Barack under the bus.
There is no reason to negotiate with people as duplicitous as Chuck Grassley, Johnny Isaakson, and every Republican in Congress. This is why I asked Steve Latourette the question I did – none of these people will EVER vote for ANY health care reform bill. Any pretense that they might is a total lie, just as every thing Republicans say about health care reform is a total lie.
Modern is full of shit. It’s like when Chris Redfern whines about why we don’t call ODP before we write about ODP – why call someone for comment when you know for a fact they will not be truthful, ever? Why is Modern going to Steve Latourette’s website to get the flimsy tissue of lies in which Latourette wraps himself to pretend he’s undecided? Is this supposed to be a joke, Modern? When did you leave your brain at the door?
We are having a debate in a fantasy cosmos of total HORSESHIT, because Republicans can only function in a universe of falsity, including the absurd notion they might vote for health care reform. And that’s why Steve Latourette got so upset that he called the question “bullshit” – he got PWNED, he knew it, and he didn’t like it. Too fucking bad, Congressman, you’re lying through your teeth, and you rely on the fact that no one in media is going to call you on it unless some random blogger does. Call the wahmbulance, asshole.
I’ve got a deal for you, Modern. If Steve Latourette votes for health care reform, I will run naked through the streets of downtown Cleveland covered in a film of horse manure waving a “Don’t Tread On Me” flag over my head singing “God Bless The USA”. That’s better than eating my hat, don’t you think?
