My most awesome council race – petitions pulled! Which is the lucky ward?
Mon, Jun 1, 2009
Today I pulled petitions for the Ward 14 & Ward 3 council races in Cleveland. The suspense! The excitement!
Couple thoughts. The ballot access for these races might be the most onerous I’ve ever encountered this side of post-Soviet Armenia, and might be challengeable in court. For starters, the new ward boundaries were just announced in April, the deadline for submitting petitions is June 25. There has been no accommodation for this timing. Council candidates still need 200 registered voters in the new ward to sign their petition, for a council seat with less than 25,000 residents. For comparison, ballot access for a US congressional seat, averaging 500,000 residents, requires 50 signatures. Equal protection, anyone?
All this, for an election in which you will be lucky to see 2,000 votes cast. Further, the BOE still does not have lists of registered voters searchable on the new ward boundaries, which is the only way to really know who is a current registered voter in the new ward boundaries. These are transient communities, with relatively few registered voters, in new borders. How is ballot access fair in this election?
Anyway, I’ve got 3 weeks to decide where to run, and get the sigs. Hmmm….is this worth it? We’ll find out!

Dear Heavely God the Father, I pray unto Thee that Governor Sarah Palin will be inaugurated the 45th President of the United States of America on January 20, 2013, and reinaugrated President on January 20, 2017. I pray also unto Thee that Governor Sarah Palin will beat Barack Obama in 2012. Above all I pray that Sarah Palin will be the greatest President that the United States of America will have ever had from January 20, 2013 to January 20. 2021. These 3 prayer request I pray unto Thee Thou Heavenly God the Father that Thou wilt answer them both. And I pray this unto Thee in the name of God the Son , the Lord Jesus Christ , Amen

Governor Sarah Palin must beat Barack Obama in 2012 because of her superior conservative right wing philosophy in that she is pro God and Christianity, pro life, pro marriage; pro guns-second amendment, pro low taxes, pro low government spending; pro small government, pro unintrusive government, pro traditional and Judeo Christian values; pro Bible reading and prayer in our public schools, pro Christians schools and private education , pro private and free enterprise; pro military spending, anti arms agreements with Russia, pro creation; pro nuclear, pro conservative supreme court judges, pro American sovereignty; pro capitalism, anti communist, anti socialist; conservative on immigration, and pro constitution. Barack Obama are of the inferior liberal and left wing ideology in that he is against every thing that Governor Sarah Palin is for and he is for every thing that Governor Sarah Palin is against
