blogger interrupted

So Dave Potts posts what was becoming increasingly clear – the Fisher campaign wanted to remove Lee’s answer about seeking the ODP endorsement.  Now, why is that?  Other than that Lee looks all pissy and irritated, takes a few shots at Jennifer, and is seen giving the big “fuck you” to the entire Ohio blogosphere.  Why wouldn’t you want THAT out there?

Regarding BSB, I don’t know if this is enough to keep the blog from disappearing, figuratively or literally.  It was clear from the moment that Jerid handed BSB over to Dave and Nick that its mojo was gone.  And I have a very hard time believing that this is the first instance BSB bent over for either ODP, or anyone else.  

You don’t get this far down Clueless Avenue with your first step.  There are still a lot of candidates, most of whom surround the beehive in Columbus and ODP, who still think they can play these idiotic games with bloggers, and there are just enough bloggers who are willing to play.  Nick didn’t do a favor for his friend Lauren Goode – Nick was a target for a political campaign that knew he could be used.  When Nick figures that out, it’s gonna suck to be Nick.  But in the meantime, it’s gonna take a long time to rebuild the reputation BSB once had.  

As for Lee Fisher – what a putrid piece of shit thing to do to someone.  Lee took a friendship between Lauren Goode and Nick, used it to get editorial control he knows he shouldn’t have, pushed it to the breaking point until Nick had to be in the position to claim he can’t technically edit video to take something out, and then the resulting debris blasted all over the biggest blog in Ohio like shrapnel from a grenade, destroying its credibility in one fell swoop.  

And Lee did this over a question we all knew the answer to anyway – yes Lee is seeking the ODP endorsement, and yes Lee is salty about it.  Only Lee Fisher could figure out a way to make everyone else pay for Lee being pissy.  How utterly pathetic.

Lee Fisher owes a lot of people an apology, beginning with his employee Lauren Goode, all the way down to the most sporadic reader of BSB.  I doubt we’ll get it.  Because when a guy like Lee Fisher starts his campaign with this much disdain for other human beings, he’s likely to become even more foul the hotter things get.  

And the election is more than a year away.
