Joe the Plumber sure sounds like a plant to me – UPDATEx3 – MSNBC says he’s with McCain, compares Barack to Sammy Davis Jr.
UPDATE – Chris Matthews just reported on MSNBC that Joe the Plumber now says he’s decided for McCain. Robert Gibbs said in response that Joe the Plumber was with McCain when he talked to Barack. Sounds like a total fraud to me.
UPDATEx2 – Joe the Plumber compares Barack to Sammy Davis Jr. This guy was a plant, and was never undecided. Joe’s in for a fun ride this week.
UPDATE x3 – Voted in GOP primary March 4. Spouting McCain “socialism” talking points. Wingnut outfit is the first one with the original Barack vid. Remarkably available to media today.
The guy is a total fraud. In fact, I wouldn’t be shocked to find out he’s not even a plumber.
So Joe the Plumber is famous now. Well, isn’t that interesting.
So what did Wurzelbacher (pronounced whur-zell-BAHK-er) think about becoming the center of the debate?
“It’s pretty surreal, man, my name being mentioned in a presidential campaign,” he said minutes after hearing McCain utter his name.
Wurzelbacher came up again when the debate turned to a discussion of health care policies. McCain charged that Obama’s plan would fine the company Wurzelbacher wanted to buy; Obama said small businesses were exempt.
“Hey Joe, you’re rich. Congratulations,” McCain said mockingly.
Wurzelbacher said Obama’s reaction left him feeling uneasy.
“I didn’t think much of it the first time I heard it,” Wurzelbacher said, adding that he still thinks Obama’s plan would keep him from buying the business.
About McCain: “He’s got it right as far as I go.”
Even so, Wurzelbacher declined to say which candidate would get his vote on Nov. 4.
“That’s for me and a button to know,” he said.
I watched the video of Joe at Plunderbund today. My first reaction to Joe the Plumber was that he saw a bunch of cameras, and wanted to give Barack a piece of his mind. Whether or not he knew he’d then be the subject of the entire debate tonight, the video convinced me this guy isn’t the least bit undecided.
I’m gonna bet we hear a lot more about Joe’s intentions in the coming days. I’m sure it will be quite interesting.
And frankly, the voters who are most interested in this election are not going to care whether or not Joe takes a bath on his business, pays 39 instead of 36% tax on his income, or whether or not Joe votes for John McCain. Someone whining about paying more taxes because he is in the RARE position of buying a business that will put his income over $250,000 isn’t the best guy for McCain to be hiding behind.
Frankly, I think Joe the Plumber should go crawl under a sink somewhere and shove his $250,000 income up his pipewrench.

All the McCain/Palin lovers are concerned about two things … Me and Me. We’re in some f’d up times right now. We have a lot of bad karma coming our way, and we want change, but who’s going to pay for it? All of us. Selfish, selfish … that’s been the American way for way too long.

It isn’t hard to see right through Joe the Plant…errr, plumber. From what I understand, Joe doesn’t have a master plumber’s license, which is needed to run a plumbing operation. Has anyone checked to see if the business is actually up for sale? And how is Obama’s plan going to impede Joe from buying the shop, anyway? He certainly is NOT making >$250k as a plumber working for someone else. I was a plumber and pipefitter for years, then a Senior Plumbing Inspector in Northern Virginia. I’ve never met a journeyman plumber that makes more than $60k. Even if his shop is a success, and has 5 trucks running, it would be surprising if he cleared $250k net profit. This whole thing smells like ANOTHER political stunt from the McSham campaign! I think someone needs to hire a P.I. or two, and dig a little deeper into “Joe’s story”.

Even if Joe the Plumber was a plant, Obama is the one who messed up. And if it was a plant, the media isn’t helping Obama by giving so much coverage to the Joe the Plumber episode. Joe just asked a question…Obama screwed up by showing his real colors! Oops is that racial???? The issue isn’t about Joe. It is about what Obama said. No matter what Joe “is” or where he “came from”, OBAMA MESSED UP!! He didn’t have to say what he did. But I’m glad he did!
We work darn hard and have no desire to share our prosperity with someone who sits around all day watching television, smoking, drinking, doing drugs, etc. We have no problem with helping those less fortunate but everyone should do their part to make their own way in life.
If Obama becomes president, we will more than likely scale back our operation, try to stay under the radar or even throw in the towel and sit around waiting for Obama’s hand outs. What is the use of working our tails off for the lazy people in this country? And those of you know the kind I’m talking about….if the shoe fits, wear it. With us having this kind of mentality, we want to know which one of you Americans is going to work for us? Which one of you are going to try to reach your dreams, make over $250,000/year and be willing to hand some of it to us? NOONE! Exactly! So where is this kind of mentality going to leave our country? We will be no better off than Russia! If you want to live where people sit around waiting for handouts, then move to Russia!

I’m amazed that you conservatives don’t get this.
The fact that Joe the Plumber is a LIAR is indeed important. He has already acknowledged that he would do BETTER under the Obama plan. There is no argument that healthcare for small companies would be immeasurably better under the Obama plan (which, by the way, does not socialize medicine).
Here is the bottom line. For 8 years we have witnessed trickle down, supplyside, neocon tax policy with huge breaks to the truly wealthy. Look at what it has wrought.
My taxes will go UP under Obama, and I will happily pay them… not so people can sit at home and watch TV, but to provide support to the people who have been downsized by Bush or who have gone bankrupt because their child had cancer.
Let’s think about those people.

How do you know that Joe is a liar? From what I heard he is 3 years into school and about to take the Masters plumbing test. Yes he is wanting to possibly buy a business down the road. Yes he owes the IRS some money. Oh yes he is a single dad! Sounds like a pretty average guy who is concerned and knows what each candidate stands for. Be honest. Are you just upset that he asked Obama a question and it possibly could have been a “gaff” in the way he replied? (He said we were going to spread the wealth around) Face it some Americans are “lazy” and yes they will take that “tax cut” (just a check) and be content living a subpar life. There are Americans that really need help and are trying. 63 million or so don’t even pay taxes and are going to get money that comes from you and me! I work in the medical field. Take a guess at how many people I see who are “working the system.” You would not believe it.! Lisa, a lot of them do sit at home, eat pain killers and wait for the check while going out and getting cash jobs that they don’t want their Dr. to find out about. If the Doc finds out guess what? Thats right it gets taken away. By the way I am a cancer survivor who damn near had to file bankrupt, but continued to work and I pay all my medical bills 5, 10, 15 whatever I can. People on disability for back pain, upset stomach, and the list goes on and on. 18 year olds coming in because their parents did this and it goes on and on. Where does it stop.(if you have back pain can you do something from home. If you are w/c bound thats the reason businesses have to have accomidations) Yes we are headed for socialism. I had to wait 6-8 weeks for a treatment for my cancer. Can you imagine what it would be like if we had socialized healthcare. Obama states that his mom died waiting on treatment. I honestly believe that If I would have had no insurance or money I would have been on charity care and moved through the system. (I had one illegal woman who got ICU care for a month and the first 3 days was using stolen information. Heck the family would not come to the hospital because they were afraid of being deported. She received FREE Healthcare. BTW did not speak a lick of English) Look don’t be mad at Joe because he asked a simple question and there is no way you can call him a liar.
