Tony George has finally made himself irrelevant – supports McCain

Tony George has been a vile cog in the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party’s most corrupt corners for decades. He is a wealthy club owner who does nothing but feed at troughs, from city, to county, to state, to federal. He is nominally a Democrat, because he has to be in Cleveland to get people to look the other way on what puke he is. George has his sausage fingers in every pot from Jimmy Dimora’s, to Frank Russo’s, to Pat O’Malley’s, Bill Mason’s, everyone. And they all love to sing to Tony George’s hymnsheet.
He now supports John McCain.
George said that he is helping to lead a fundraiser with Palin, scheduled for Oct. 10 in Northeast Ohio.
“Sen. Obama will regret not picking Hillary Clinton as his running mate,” said George, who pledged to help raise at least a half-million dollars at the Palin event.
Good riddance Tony. I’ve been waiting a long time for you to show your true colors. How’s that county corruption investigation going, btw? Maybe me and my camera will see Tony at his fundraiser on October 10. Sure would be nice if the McCain campaign got wrapped into the FBI investigation of Cuyahoga County corruption, wouldn’t it?

Tony George is a serial turncoat and opportunist widely disliked in the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party.
Your assertions that the Cuy Co Dem Party is corrupt is wrong and reflects a level of inexperience with Democratic Party politics. It seems rather surprising that an Obama supporter would be so willing to repeat GOP talking points.
Do yourself a favor and get involved in the local party. Its made up of a lot of good, hardworking people who don’t deserve to be smeared with baseless accusations.
