Which judge’s wife is Connie Schultz protecting so she can continue to tell people Barack is the anti-christ?
Connie Schultz refuses to name a judge’s wife in Ohio who thinks Barack Obama is the anti-christ and is telling people so.
If I’d known any of this, I would have invited Remnick to leave Manhattan and tag along with me to a baby shower in small-town, working-class Ohio. Then he, too, could have heard one of the guests describe her toe-curling encounter with the wife of a longtime county judge.
The two women have been friends for years. When their conversation turned to the presidential race, though, all smiles vanished.
“I’m voting for Obama,” she told the judge’s wife, who responded with disgust: “Barack Obama is the anti-Christ.”
“You don’t really think that,” the woman said.
Oh, yes, she did. Nodding her head, she added, “You can read all about it in the Bible. In Revelation.”
Keep in mind, this is one half of a prominent political couple in a county where they know virtually everybody. Imagine how many people she might run into on any given day.
Hmm….which prominent judge is married to this woman? Any guesses? Let’s see. Small town, working class, Ohio, wife of prominent longtime judge in the county….hmmmm. We probably don’t need a Pulitzer to figure out, folks. Thinking caps please!
As I’ve written before, it is essential to name the people who engage in this nonsense in order to both correct the lies, and stop them. We in the Ohio blogosphere are making it something of a mission. It’s time the MSM started doing so, too. Or at least not quote them anonymously.

Why would she name the woman that she’s quoting? This isn’t a story about bringing anyone to justice. The story Connie wants to tell us is the one about the duaghter of a factory worker, who discovered the New Yorker in a Doctor’s office when she was a little girl. She grows up to be really smart and win important prizes for her writing, yet she chooses to stay here in the rust belt, walking among the common people. It sounds like she just wanted to remind the New Yorker that she’s still here in Cleveland and that she’s still smarter than the rest of us.
