Ohio - Obama up by 8
Mon, Jul 21, 2008
Great news. Obama 48% (50% last month), McCain 40% (39% last month).
The numbers suggest Obama’s problems with blue-collar whites in this industrial state may have been overstated: He’s only trailing McCain among whites by four points, 46%-42%. Nor does he appear to have a problem with female voters: Obama’s leading among them by 20 points.
This is all before the foreign tour. The poll also finds Obama leads among non-party identifiers 42-37, with 20% undecided. And the only age demographic where McCain leads is over-65 - by only 4 points, with 18% undecided.
