It’s very appropriate that Katrina Van Den Horseshit was the first person from the hard left I noticed beginning to hint that they don’t want the US to fight in Afghanistan.  Here’s the video.  You can hear her stumble and twitch her way into some disjointed equivalence of Iraq and Afghanistan.  It’s troubling.

And now, here’s some white-bearded lefty joker at Huffington Post arguing that Afghanistan is somehow not an appropriate place for America to defend itself.  Get ready for the drumbeat.  Noam Chomsky’s disciples no likey Barack.

Let me be clear, just as Barack is clear.  We are at war in Afghanistan because we were attacked by the Taliban and their allies Al Queda.  We need to win that war.  We have been distracted by Iraq, making Afghanistan a pathetic, half-hearted attempt.  And this has allowed the Taliban and Al Queda to regroup and become as strong and safe as ever.  Had there been 150,000 troops in and out of Afghanistan in the last 7 years, this would be a very different world right now.  Bin Laden would be captured and/or dead.  The Taliban would be destroyed.  Instead, they remain.

It was only a matter of time before the hard left realized that Barack Obama is serious about fighting in Afghanistan, and began to despise that fact.  And I really do want them to get a bit louder on this topic, so Barack can again look like he’s beating them back with a stick.
