Countdown to when Kos raises money for Barack

Ok.  So it’s becoming clear that the lefty netroots A-listers have no intention of getting over themselves and posting fundraising pleas on their front pages asking their readers to donate to Barack Obama, let alone give money themselves.  I am a penniless unemployed homeless person living with my parents, and I’ve given money to Barack Obama, so I’m a little miffed.  I’ve also raised a few bucks on this blog from my readers.  Go readers!

And of course, Kos himself, the great God Of Blogdom, has announced that he was about to give money to Barack, in fact, max out to the tune of $2,300, but alas, decided against it.

So many of you are upset that I pulled back my credit card last night, making a last minute decision to hold back on a $2,300 contribution to Obama. Let me explain further:

No need to explain further, Kos.  You either give the money to the Democratic nominee for president, or you don’t.

Now, given that the express purpose of Kos’ site is to “elect Democrats”, I am today announcing the Countdown To When Kos Gives Money To Barack.  It is closely related to the Countdown To When Kos Asks His Readers To Give Money To Barack, but they are not the same thing.  You see, if your blog’s express purpose is to elect Democrats, that kinda means you have to donate to the Democratic Party’s nominee for president yourself.  Call me crazy.

It kinda also means that you have to ask your readers, whose eyeballs (if you’re big bad blogboy Kos) literally provide you with your income, to do the same.  Again, I’m trying hard not to be facetious, but it’s overwhelming me at this point in this blog post.

So if Eric, from Plunderbund, were around while I write this, I would ask him to revise the code in the John McCain Still Hasn’t Signed The SF-180 countdown clock, and create two new countdown clocks.  One clock for when Kos announces he has given to Barack, and another for when Kos actually asks his readers to do the same.  The reason I need Eric for this is because I’m a stone moron, and I need help with code.

But that doesn’t matter for the countdown itself.  The post in which Kos announces he will not give to Barack is dated July 1, so that’s when the clock began ticking.  Which means it has been 18 days since Kos decided he would not donate to our party’s nominee for president, and 18 days since he’s decided to not ask his readers to give to our nominee for president.

Clock’s ticking.  Now you tell me.  Who’s the one interested in electing Democrats.
