VIDEO: New email smear about Barack killing babies, and Joy still thinks Barack is Arab.

Joy Atwood was on the Cleveland CBS affiliate claiming Barack Obama is an Arab. I went down to the Medina Farmers Market to correct her. After correcting her, in person and via email, I visited Joy again today at the Medina Farmers Market, to see if she had changed her mind. And boy, was I wrong to give Joy the benefit of the doubt.
We have a new strategy for fighting the smears here in Ohio.
If you get any of these emails, you need to do 3 things (please):
1. Reply to everyone who got the email that you can tell (you may need to copy addresses from a quoted email that was forwarded) and tell them the truth.
2. Forward it to watchdog@barackobama.com
3. Forward it to me eric@plunderbund.com and I’ll blog it (include the entire message including original sender/recipients)
Memo to email smearers. Your email address will now be public property. That’s how we play. No quarter. If you spread these lies, you will get corrected, publicly, and more importantly, in your own inbox, where you seem to want to fight this battle.
Here’s Joy now repeating a new smear, from Concerned Women for America, known right wing nutjob outfit, that Barack Obama wants to kill live babies after they’ve been born. First, this Joy series is breaking some new ground in blogging if you ask me.
Second, Joy is really one patient misinformed bigot. I’m used to them saying they don’t want to talk to you. At least she is forthright in her ignorance.
Great work. Readers should hit the tip jar for gas money. It’s worth it for this type of advocacy.

You know what’s so horrifying about this video? It was shot 20 minutes from the house I grew up in, in the same town where my father owns a business…and explains exactly why I haven’t been back since I graduated school.
If I were so inclined, I could introduce you to another 200 women exactly like the one on the video, including my own sister who contributes money to Concerned Women for America.
Thanks for the reminder of why I should skip my high school reunion…

It is sad that bigotry is the only reason you have remembered to leave Ohio. Did you think to ask, maybe Ohio doesn’t want you or need you back?

Tim, great video. Obviously Joy doesn’t even really know what she thinks. She’s content with her lack of knowledge, which is sad.
I did a quick Google search and it seems the killing live babies myth comes from the alleged fact that Obama voted against the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act. I didn’t have time to read enough to fully understand the story, but feel free to enlighten us all.
Laura, I think your comments made sense and you did not sound elitist at all. Nothing wrong with wanting to surround yourself with thinking people and escape what you feel is a hometown where you can’t relate to people’s views. Why anyone would attack you for that is beyond me, and I usually agree with Schmennis on his rants.

Mr. Russo, I wish you hadn’t published Ms. Atwood’s email address. Why? She didn’t seek or ask to be on television — she was just selling at a farmer’s market. Any further public involvement came from you videoing her, and publishing the videos here on your blog and on Youtube.
I’m not defending her position — I’m just really uncomfortable in making a private email public.
