Jason Werner, GOP congressional candidate, arrested for disturbing the peace

Wed, Jun 18, 2008

Fun, Politics

Jason Werner, the guy who ran against Jim Trakas for the 10th CD GOP nomination, and got 5,844 votes, was arrested in the Warehouse District outside of Blue Point Grill for preaching so loud at people he was disturbing the peace.  Jason’s MySpace page is gold.  His YouTube channel is gold.    Jason helpfully recounts his arrest here.  And it’s gold, too.

And I’m being accused of breach of peace.

What about the loud music on the street?  What about the loud motorcycles and cars?  What about the homosexuals whom have shown themselves (you know what I mean).  What about the sex occurring right there on the street?  What about people drinking on the street?  What about the people whom smoke their joints from Public Square to the Warehouse District directly in front of the police?  What about people yelling to friends, at other people, and so much more?

Hmmm….sounds like fun!  It gets so much better.

My friend, Doug Long, my wife, and my baby (Jason Jr.) began a protest and boycott of the Cavalier Girls in March.  We preached in the name of Jesus Christ outside the Q nearly every home game since then.  We were not soft.  We brought it.

I protest the Cavalier girls largely because they really aren’t all that hot.  But I digress.

They decide to drive me back to my car and let me go.  Then, they requested me to sign the ticket for me to appear in court at some later date.  I signed it with the blue pen that one of the officers took from my shorts pocket.  He kept my pen.  He looked at my Chrysler 300C Hemi and said, “That right there is a breach of peace.”  The car has stickers all around it with Bible verses and words ripping into abortion such as “Smile, you could have been aborted.”

Hotness.

I finally got in touch with Doug by calling him on his cell.  Evidently, he grabbed a bus and had gotten to West 25th in the time I had been arrested.  He told me he paid $4.00 for the bus ride.  That right there is a crime.  $4.00 to ride a communist bus?!

And then there are the pictures.  My god, the pictures.  His buddy’s “witness statement”.

The ticket.

And the handcuff-bruised wrist of GOP Congressional candidate Jason Werner.

And a helpful YouTube!  With a helpful comment!

How the fuck did he get almost 6000 votes?

According to opensecrets.com he raised a grand total of $89 for his campaign in 2006.

  2. Joseph Says:

I can’t believe the police arrested him! I guess they didn’t know that “drug users have thrown their dope on the ground after hearing his sermons.”

  3. Adam Harvey Says:

I think what Jason needs most in these trying times is our prayers for his speedy recovery.

[Tangentially, apparently they didn't realize that $4 lets you ride the bus as much as you want for 24 hours.]

you almost wish jesus would show up and beat the crap out of him…almost

  5. J L L Says:

Wow a deadbeat dad and bigamist preaching the gospel… I seriously doubt that any “drug user” has ever thrown down their “dope” after hearing him preach. More likely they encouraged him to lay off the “dope”.
