State Highway Patrol raiding Marc Dann’s office UPDATE

Fun, fun, and more fun.
A press conference by Attorney General Marc Dann will not be held and the 17th floor of the Rhodes Tower, where his office is located, is apparently on lock-down to protect sensitive documents that may be subject to investigation.
The State Highway Patrol is in the attorney general’s offices, checking employee badges and monitoring to see if documents are being removed from the floor, sources told The Dispatch. Troopers were even searching the purses of employees leaving the offices.

They have already confiscated computer equipment, and State Highway Patrol officers are on the ground floor of the tower checking people’s badges and belongings as they leave. Apparently patrol members are targeting employees of the attorney general’s office for bag searches.
Lt. Jim Wernecke of the patrol confirmed that the patrol is there at the request of the inspector general. He would not comment further.

Well now I have to say, I’d have some choice words for any trooper who attempted to search my purse. I’d remain in the office 24/7 before I’d let that happen. Then again I no longer have any respect for the law here in the United Fascist States of America.
