Sources say Ted Strickland has asked Marc Dann for his resignation.  About fucking time.  But what I’m hearing from multiple sources is that Marc Dann’s wife may not let him resign.  

Alyssa Lenhoff, Dann’s wife, is said to be rather liking the lifestyles of the stupid and powerful.  And hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, eh Alyssa?

Alyssa Lenhoff, Dann’s wife and the director of the journalism program at Youngstown State, noted this in her e-mail response to Free Times’ request for comment on whether she’d played a role in Stankoski, Stout or Utovich’s transfers: “The only comment I would make is that this is false. I never asked Marc nor anyone else to transfer anyone. Are you really writing a cover story based on double (maybe triple) hearsay that happens to be false? I’ve been a journalist for 20 years and I am a little surprised by how you described your cover story. Maybe I am missing something.”

So is it Marc Dann’s wife vs. Ted Strickland?  And if so, who wins?  And for how long?

UPDATE - ModernEsquire reports a denial.  Yeah.  Sure.  Let me tell ya’ll a little about how blogs work in Ohio.  If something gets to us, it means someone wants it to get to us.  That means it probably happened.  I’m gonna guess that wifey Alyssa really is pulling the strings here, that everyone from Ted, to Fernsy, to Lee Fisher want him gone, and that wifey has Dann by the short and curlies.  

We’ll see how this turns out, but I gotta think Ted loses this battle.
