Americans have so much about which to feel shame I suppose this is as good a place to start as any.
A few days ago I was talking to an elderly Polish immigrant who excused America’s behavior by calling it a “young country” with much to learn. I responded that the U.S. is like a stupid and emotionally unstable teenager with too much money and too many weapons.
At least I got a laugh outta the old fella. I hardly laugh anymore.
