Dann will be sent a letter that should reach him no later than 11:30 a.m. saying that he must, in the best interest of his office and the party, step down.

The letter comes after multiple conversations took place over the past two days among Gov. Ted Strickland, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, Treasurer Richard Cordray, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher and the two Democratic legislative leaders, Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Columbus, and Sen. Ray Miller, D-Columbus.
