The latest innocent victim of the racist campaign of Hillary Clinton
Jill Miller Zimon thought she was just entering one of those silly blogger popularity contests. Better yet, it was for “Favorite Female Blogger”. And in Ohio, no one blogs more female than Jill. It’s her passion. She does it every single day, and has become a leading voice in Ohio’s blogosphere. Yeah, it can get pretty damn annoying sometimes, and she has never really been clear about her support for Hillary Clinton, but she fights a good fight. I’m really happy she’s around.
But unfortunately for Jill, she got a little too close to the Clinton campaign, without even knowing it. And now she, like a lot of other female bloggers who entered the contest, is being put in the position of having to defend Women Voices Women Vote, and apologize. WVWV is now under state investigation in North Carolina to halt what is, by any definition, a race-based campaign to suppress black voter turnout.
Jill may or may not have known how knee deep in Clinton cronies WVWV was when she entered the contest. I have my suspicions. But certainly there is no way Jill could have known that at that very moment, WVWV was engaging in blatant racist voter suppression tactics, had done so repeatedly, and was about to do so again. Jill could never have known that.
And thus, Jill becomes just the latest innocent person to be harmed by the prolonged, premeditated, and purposefully racist and race-baiting campaign of Hillary Clinton. I’m sure it hurts Jill, but she’s just one person who happened to be a bystander as the Clinton campaign garbage truck spilled some filth on the curb next to her on it’s way to destroying the Democratic Party.
My quarrel with Jill, and with the supporters of Hillary in Ohio, bloggers or otherwise, is not that they actively help these race-baiting tactics, racial division strategies, and now positively Jim Crow vote suppression efforts. My quarrel with them is that they dismiss it. They claim it isn’t happening. Then they watch it happen. And they are silent.
Maybe Jill is changing her tune now. Maybe not. What I do know is that this silence has allowed not just WVWV’s Jim Crow activity to go on unabated until now, but the entirety of the Clinton campaign’s race-based strategy. The result is that not only people like Jill get hurt by it completely without their knowledge, but our entire Democratic Party is being torn in half, and racial hate is being stirred up in precisely the places where the Clinton campaign wants it to be.
That is what people like Jill are responsible for. Not WVWV, or it’s activities. But the silence.
